This has been a pretty good week.
First, I go to Longboat Key for the weekend with the family. Very nice and relaxing.
Second, I had birthday dinners twice this week with my friends and co-workers. Oh, yes, it was my birthday on Tuesday…I’m 25 now! I’m getting old.
Next, I win a $25 gift certifcate to the mall on my birthday just for doing a word search. Very random.
Then, Kayla and Noah come to visit me and Bradley calls me.
Wednesday, I pampered myself with a pedicure and manicure and today I got a massage.
This morning, I got the call telling me that they’ve accepted me into MBA school starting on June 28th.
And now, I’m just waiting for my long weekend with Joe.
I have to say, it’s been a pretty nice week.

I have found a new way to be lazy - text messageing people to do things for you. I spent the weekend with Katie Kirk, Natalie Unterhorst, Jean Cather, and my sister. Last night we spent the night at Katie’s. Katie and Jean went to bed in Katie’s room and Natalie and I get the pull out couch in the living room. Natalie and I aren’t really tired, so we start text messaging people. Natalie sends a text message to Katie with the words to the song "Me and You." Of course Katie’s phone beeps and she sees it and laughs and then yells she has to go to bed because she has to teach in the morning. Then we realize that the kitchen light is on. Well, do Natalie or I want to get up??? NO! So, I text message Katie again and tell her the kitchen light is on. Does this go over well?? NO! hehe…She stomps out and turns off the light and then marches back to her room. Poor Katie. We’re so mean! I now consider myself lazy!

"Watch the sun come up." That’s what my Dove chocolate said. Well, when I finally find my Valentine, that’s what we’ll do. For now, I spend my Valentine’s Day watching Romantic Comedies with my girl friends. :) Anyway, for being single on Valentine’s Day, this one wasn’t half bad.

So, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here. Christmas and New Years were good. I got to see lots of family and friends that I haven’t seen in a while. Miss Haley is just gorgeous and the tiniest little thing. I miss her. I may plan a trip back to Crestview, just so I can see her….and to scrapbook with my aunt and cousins. :) I also got to talk to Miss Sunny and Yasuko the other night. Sunny’s English needs a little help, but she’s getting there…I could understand Auntie Courtney, hi, and bye. :) Karl will be home in March, so maybe her English will improve then.
In other news, I may be going back to school in the fall. I’ve taken the GMAT and talked to the admissions guy of the UF MBA program. What do you think I should do?? Any job suggestions for after I finish??
Alrighty, this is enough for now. Be back soon.

Today was actually a very frustrating day, but there was actually a high point to it. Debbie, Jackie, and I got to carve a dozen WHOLE turkeys in the OR hallway today. It was kind of odd having an occasional patient being rolled by, but eventually the OR staff figured it was probably best not to use this hallway during lunchtime. So, it was quite amuzing to watch the three of us, because I had never carved a turkey and Jackie was trying to save all the extra pieces, like the neck, to go home and making dressing. A dozen turkeys takes a while to carve. Debbie and Jackie took a stretch break to keep the muscles from cramping while Marcil brought us more turkeys. We were so cute. We each had our red shirt, apron, surgical gloves, and Santa hat on. Nobody can say Anesthesia ain’t festive! ;) Dr. Paulus even got a picture of us before we started our carving. Too bad, I don’t think anyone got a during picture. Oh well…That was my entertainment for the day…The rest of it could be thrown out and done over…

So, last night I had a dream that felt so real. Do you ever have dreams like that, where you wake up and aren’t sure if what happened in your dream really happened?? It’s very confusing, because a lot of times these dreams involve people and it changes the way you think of them.

On Friday, Katye, Jimmy, and I went to Disney World for the CMN Ride-A-Thon. It was a lot of fun. After 8PM, the park closed and only Ride-A-Thon guests could stay and ride as much as they wanted until 11:30PM. It was great. I think the longest I waited for any ride was 20 minutes. :) Parking was free, they gave us free snacks and drinks and other cool stuff. And it only cost $20!
So, what are your favorite Disney rides? I was thinking about that while I was there. I think my favorite ride might just be the teacups.
You spin and spin and spin until you’re so dizzy you can’t stand up straight.
Of course, I also love the Carousel, Dumbo, and all the Mountain rides (Splash, Thunder, and Space).
I love being a kid. I wish we could just act like kids forever. Well, if I turn out anything like my mother, I will act like a kid forever.

Tonight Kayla and I went to see "Hello Dolly" at the Constans Theatre. I thouroughly enjoyed myself. Besides being a good show, the guy next to us provided some entertainment, atleast for me. Poor Kayla had to sit next to him and smell his stanky breath and deal with his convulsive laughter. My program and some Altoid gum was all she had to protect herself. The musical was awesome. Jennifer Anderson, who played Dolly was absolutely superb. She was hilarious. I believe she had to have been doing a bit of ad-libbing. Oh, and there was a live orchestra. I believe if i were in an orchestra, I’d like to play the xylophone.

On Friday, November 4th, I lost my wisdom. :( It’s a sad thing really. Actually, getting my wisdom teeth out was not as bad as I would have imagined. Yes, you are swollen and in pain for at least 3 days after (I’m only at the 3rd day, so I can’t tell you for how long it hurts), but the procedure itself is nothing. I woke up during the procedure and couldn’t feel a thing. Actually, I think they woke me up because I wasn’t really breathing right. Anyway, I’m alive. I just look like a chipmunk. Hopefully, I’ll be back to normal by tomorrow or Tuesday.
On a brighter note, I bought a new computer!!! :) It’s a Dell Dimension 9100. The most exciting part is that I’m getting a flat screen monitor. Yeah me! Dad has agreed to buy my old one for the very reasonable price of $20. Hey, anyone know someone who needs a new harddrive?? I’ve got a really nice, hardly used one…I know you want it…
Alrighty, back to icing my face.
